How do I download Bitmo?

How do I invite friends?
Easy! Just tap the “Invite Friends” link to send a free gift to as many friends as you’d like. We’ll take care of delivery which includes instructions on how to sign up for Bitmo. Best part? The gift will come directly from you, so they’ll never know you didn’t pay for it.
What is the free referral gift?
Gift recipients will receive a $5 gift card to one of Bitmo’s top brands. Although the brand is subject to change, recipients can always exchange their referral gift upon acceptance.
Do I get anything for inviting friends?
Not at the moment, but soon! Bitmo’s “Invite Friends” promotion is currently in beta as we plan for an exciting new rewards program. Stay tuned!
Why can’t I invite a friend from my contacts list?
It could be that you have an invalid phone number or email address in your contacts list or your friend is already a Bitmo user.
Why didn’t my referral promo code work?
As a free gift recipient, you must sign up for Bitmo and create a valid account in order to redeem your promo code. While most gifts are delivered immediately, they can sometimes take 1-2 days to process as we validate your new Bitmo account. Please see our Terms of Service for complete details on free gift promotions.
Sending and Receiving Gifts
How do I send a gift?
If you haven’t already done so, start by adding a payment method to your account. Once that’s done, start shopping! Choose your gift, recipient, and custom note and we’ll take care of the rest.
How do I spend a gift?
Easy! Just tap “pay” to retrieve your barcode and gift card number/PIN. We recommend waiting until you’re ready to check out in store or online since you won’t be able to regift or exchange after this step. Either way, your gift will never expire. Tap the Terms and Conditions link beneath the barcode to read the brand’s fine print.
How do I exchange a gift?
Just tap the card you’d like to exchange and follow the prompts to see all brands that support a dollar-for-dollar exchange. If you can’t find a particular brand, it’s likely the brand doesn’t support your gift card’s value.
How do I regift?
Simply tap the card* in your wallet, choose a new recipient, add a personal note, and send it off. Don’t worry; your new recipient will never know it was regifted. Your secret’s safe with us.
*Promotional gifts may not qualify for the regift feature.
Why hasn’t my gift been delivered to me?
Most likely, we’re waiting for the payment to clear. If you’re waiting on a free gift, it might take a little longer to be delivered.

Most likely, we’re waiting for the payment to clear. If you sent a gift to a non-Bitmo user, they’ll have to sign up before it can be delivered.
What if my friend never signs up for Bitmo?
Your recipient has two weeks to sign up before their gift expires (don’t worry–we’ll send them reminders). If your recipient doesn’t accept your gift, the gift will be cancelled and the applicable credit will be refunded to your payment account.
Why isn’t my gift card working?
Quick! Try these tips to rule out human/technical errors.
- Check your internet connection. If you tend to have unreliable service while shopping, take a screenshot of your barcode and present the photo at checkout.
- If the cashier is unable to scan your barcode, try enlarging it on your screen.
- It might help to specify that you’re using an e-gift card, not a coupon.
- Don’t forget you can always provide the cashier with your gift card number for manual entry.
How do I add a payment method?
Once you select your bank from our list of financial institutions, simply log in with your username and password the same way you would on your bank’s website or app. Your bank may require multi-factor authentication such as a PIN, security question, or unique code. Be sure to follow all prompts to complete the verification process. If you have trouble logging in, contact your bank to reset your login credentials.
Do I have to add a bank account?
Right now, personal checking and savings accounts are the only accepted payment methods. While Bitmo may support additional payment methods in the future (credit cards, PayPal, bitcoin, etc.), we’ve found that bank account verification provides our users with the best security. Electronic funds transfers also allow us to keep costs down which means our services stay fee-free.
